Latent Edge Ltd is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a specialist main contractor delivering secure buildings and critical infrastructure for defence and government clients across the UK and overseas. The role offers hybrid working with a Chichester office three days a week and occasional UK/overseas travel.

You will own projects from day one, with a strong focus on NEC contracts and commercial reporting. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of QS experience, NEC exposure, and experience

Qualifications

• 2+ years' QS experience, with independence
• Hands-on NEC experience on most projects
• Experience of CVRs, valuations and subcontract accounts
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related subject preferred; working towards RICS/CIOB bonus

Responsabilités

• Monthly CVRs, cost-to-complete and forecasting
• Preparing interim applications for payment and assessing subcontractor applications
• Administering NEC contracts: early warnings, compensation events, notices

Quantity Surveyor - Secure Construction | Chichester (Hybrid) | SC Cleared

We're recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a specialist main contractor delivering secure buildings and critical infrastructure for defence and government clients across the UK and overseas. The commercial team is busy and growing, and they need someone who can take ownership of their own projects from day one.

The role

• Day-to-day commercial responsibility for allocated projects and packages, from pre-contract through to final account
• Monthly CVRs, cost-to-complete and forecasting
• Preparing interim applications for payment and assessing subcontractor applications
• Administering NEC contracts: early warnings, compensation events and contractual notices
• Subcontract procurement, from enquiry and tender analysis to placing orders
• Valuing variations and agreeing final accounts with clients and the supply chain
• Feeding commercial risk and opportunity into project reporting

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years' QS experience, with confidence working independently
• Hands-on NEC experience (most projects are NEC)
• Experience of CVRs, valuations and subcontract accounts
• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related subject is preferred; working towards RICS or CIOB is a bonus
• Backgrounds in building, M&E, civils or infrastructure are all welcome
• Defence, MOD, DIO or secure-site experience is desirable

Security clearance

• Active SC clearance is required
• You must be eligible for DV: a UK passport holder who has lived in the UK for the last 5 years. DV sponsorship is available.

Location and working pattern

• Chichester office three days a week, with the rest hybrid
• You'll need to live within a reasonable commute of Chichester (about 45 minutes)
• Full time, 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday
• Occasional UK and overseas travel, with all expenses covered
