Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join our highways team based at our Flax Bourton Bristol office supporting projects across the Southwest & South Wales region. This role is commutable from Weston-Super-Mare, Bristol, Chepstow, Newport, Cardiff, Gloucester and the surrounding areas. At Tarmac, 'who you are' matters. We want to get to know you. Role Responsibility

Reporting directly to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll ideally bring experience from similar sectors such as Highways, Road Infrastructure, Paving, Surfacing, or Civil Engineering.

  • Recording, monitoring and reviewing the financial performance of contracts
  • Preparing and submitting monthly applications for payment and final accounts
  • Preparation of monthly CVRs and forecasts (internal and client-facing)
  • Securing payments from customers within the specified contract terms
  • Subcontract procurement and management of subcontractor accounts
  • Ensuring compliance with Tarmac and client processes to mitigate commercial risk
  • Issuing early warning notices and managing compensation events

Qualifications & Skills
  • Ideal candidate educated to degree level in Quantity Surveying, but candidates with HND or those qualified by experience (QBE) are welcome
