QUANTITY SURVEYOR - CIVILS

POSITION : Quantity Surveyor - Civils

LOCATION : Commutable from Doncaster, Hull, Beverley, Leeds, Selby, York, Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Bridlington, Sheffield

RATE : £30 - £40 ph PAYE or Ltd Co. (outside IR35) available

THE ROLE : Our client is an established and well respected multi-disciplinary consultancy. This is a long term freelance opportunity (18-24 months) for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to work on a large multi million pound Highway project in Yorkshire. The role will be a mix of office, site and some working from home and will be 40 hours Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Significant previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on Civils projects. Applications are welcome from experienced QS's with either client side or contractor experience
• Experience of NEC 4
• Min HNC/HND level of relevant Construction/Quantity Surveying qualification.
• Experience of producing detailed cost plans, ensuring the project stays within budget and meets financial targets
• The ability to review appraise, and report on main contract and sub-contract tenders. This includes evaluating bids, assessing their suitability, and providing recommendations to decision-makers.
• The ability to review, appraise and report on site changes (compensation events)
