Job summary

Jane Street seeks quantitative traders to identify market signals, analyze data, and execute strategies within a collaborative office environment. You will build quantitative models, run statistical analyses, and contribute to algorithmic trading systems while managing risk and exploring new business opportunities.

As part of a hands-on training program and a year-long firmwide curriculum, you’ll take on meaningful responsibilities within weeks and months.

At Jane Street, quantitative traders identifymarket signals, analyse and execute strategies,construct quantitative models, conduct statisticalanalyses, build algorithmic trading systems,manage risk, develop new businesses, and more.

Our trading desks are central to ourcollaborative and cooperative office environment.You can expect to work side by side withexperienced traders who are committed to teaching,guiding, and supporting our newest hires. Throughhands-on, interactive training, you’ll acquiresignificant trading responsibilities within weeksto months of being on the desk. In parallel, youwill participate in our robust year-long firmwideeducational curriculum.

At Jane Street, the lines between research,technology, and trading are intentionally blurry,and you’ll have access to petabytes of data, acomputing cluster with hundreds of thousands ofcores, and a growing GPU cluster containing tensof thousands of high-end GPUs. We don’t believe in“one-size-fits-all” modelling solutions; we areopen to and excited about applying all differenttypes of statistical and ML techniques, fromlinear models to deep learning, depending on whatbest fits a given problem.
