Job summary

Janestreet is looking for Quantitative Researchers in Greater London to help build models and strategies for trading financial instruments. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced researchers in a dynamic environment, engaging with vast data sets and advanced computing resources.

The ideal candidate will be a strong programmer with a passion for problem-solving and a curiosity to learn. Experience in data science or machine learning is preferred, but a thoughtful approach to learning is critical.

Qualifications

• Able to apply logical and mathematical thinking to all kinds of problems.
• Intellectually curious; eager to ask questions, admit mistakes, and learn new things.
• Strong programmer who’s comfortable with Python.

Responsibilities

• Build models, strategies, and systems that price and trade financial instruments.
• Work side by side with experienced researchers in model building and data analysis.
• Apply various statistical and machine learning techniques to solve problems.

Skills
