Job summary

Qube Research & Technologies invites penultimate- or final-year students to join a quantitative researcher internship. You will work on real research or trading problems, learning from experienced researchers and traders in a rigorous, collaborative environment.

The role spans research and trading, with opportunities to contribute to live signals and data-driven projects. You’ll be assessed via a technical coding challenge and interviews (on-site or Teams), and may participate in Data Challenges

Qualifications

• Pursuing an advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or Engineering.
• Strong analytical skills and an interest in using mathematics, statistics and computation to understand complex problems.
• Coding experience in at least one leading programming language, including Python, C++ or C#.
• Knowledge of statistics, machine learning, NLP or AI techniques is useful but not essential.
• Experience exploring large datasets across multiple time horizons is a plus.
• Able to work through complex problems rigorously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Independent and collaborative, able to work autonomously while exchanging ideas with colleagues from different disciplines.
• Able to explain your reasoning and communicate technical ideas clearly.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive signals from large and varied datasets and test hypotheses.
• Design tests, question results, and iterate on approaches with researchers.
• Work with the live trading platform to monitor signals, track performance, and improve execution.
• Collaborate with senior researchers and traders to understand strategy behavior and robustness.
• Apply quantitative analysis and programming to live systems.
