Job summary

DRW, a diversified trading firm, seeks an experienced Quant Researcher to join its global commodities trading team to aid alpha generation, research, development, and analytics infrastructure.

You will develop systematic trading strategies, enhance data pipelines, and analyze large datasets, using AI and LLMs to inform trading decisions. The ideal candidate holds an advanced quantitative degree and has 2+ years in alpha roles, with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in math, statistics, physics, engineering or CS.
• Experience using AI and LLMs.
• Minimum of two years' experience in alpha generating role.
• Experience working with large datasets, data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering.
• Excellent programming and scripting skills.
• Experience working independently and delivering results.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, experience communicating complex ideas clearly and concisely to peers and stakeholders.
• Positive, team focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Developing systematic trading strategies and alpha generating signals across commodity markets.
• Enhancing data collection procedures to support data pipelines for research/trading.
• Analyze large, diverse datasets to identify trends and build/maintain models for trading decisions, including AI/LLMs.
• Extract and organize data from multiple sources for quantitative analysis in support of trading.
• Assist in developing analytical tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders at each project stage and communicate results to varied audiences.
• Create and maintain post-trade diagnostics tools across strategies.
