Job summary

Man Group in London seeks a highly capable quantitative researcher for the AHL Talent Programme. You will join a team of researchers and traders and rotate across alpha research, portfolio construction and execution to build robust investment strategies.

Successful candidates will undertake three 6‑month rotations, receive formal training and mentorship, and contribute to a wide range of research initiatives across multiple markets.

Qualifications

• PhD, Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative subject
• Desire to learn and understand the structure and drivers of returns in financial markets
• Demonstrable interest in algorithmic trading and financial derivatives
• Independent research experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Entrepreneurial, team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

• Research, develop and implement trading strategies.
• Collaborate with AHL teams on research efforts.
• Follow industry and academic literature for innovations and opportunities.
• Apply quantitative techniques to large datasets and develop areas of expertise.
• Interact with other research teams to support the firm’s broader agenda.
