Job Description

This role is a mix of Quant development and Data Analytics Engineering

You’ll play a pivotal role in the success of core data and analytics platforms by delivering actionable insights on usage, advising on capacity and optimisation, and shaping governance for onboarding and usage policies.

You will build and maintain tooling to analyse a complex, multi‑layered usage data landscape and translate findings into clear recommendations.

Responsibilities
  • Rapidly learn complex API syntaxes and interfaces, understand their business context, and keep pace with ongoing changes.
  • Produce regular and ad‑hoc reports; present insights to stakeholders and partner with adjacent platform teams to situate results in the wider organisational landscape.
  • Monitor global usage across platforms, proactively investigate anomalies and policy violations, engage with consuming teams/users, and recommend remediation.
  • Consult on onboarding for new consumers and use cases, aligning them with broader usage patterns and capacity plans.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and measure business‑driven and regulatory KPIs.
  • Handle historical data quality issues with care, including gaps or inconsistencies in data collection.
  • Understand platform capacity characteristics and constraints; develop capacity projections and recommendations with partner teams.
Qualifications
  • Experience modelling the impact of usage trends on database‑backed systems.
  • Strong background in report creation and data modelling.
  • Proven experience in usage modelling, trend analysis, and capacity planning for large, enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one general‑purpose programming language ideally C#.
  • Nice to have: Snowflake, Python, Tableau or Power BI.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure or AWS preferred).
