Job summary

Michael Page is partnering with a globally recognised manufacturer based in Aylesford to recruit a Quality Technologist. You will support supplier approval, raw material compliance and quality assurance across multiple teams to ensure food safety and regulatory standards are met.

The role is hybrid, focusing on supplier assessments, specifications and continuous improvement initiatives within a diverse manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in quality, supplier quality, QA or quality technologist roles in food, nutrition, pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of food safety and quality management systems including HACCP, ISO, FSSC 22000, and GFSI-recognised standards.
• Knowledge of UK/EU food legislation, supplier approval processes and quality compliance.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and able to communicate well, with data analysis, investigations and continuous improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the raw material supplier approval and monitoring process.
• Review, assess, and approve raw material specifications to ensure quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct supplier risk assessments, audits, performance reviews and maintain Approved Supplier records.
• Investigate supplier non-conformances, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support raw material and finished product testing programmes with documentation and traceability.
• Maintain supplier and quality documentation supporting food safety and quality management systems.

Description

Profile

A successful Quality Technologist should have:

• 1-2years' experience in a Quality, Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, or Quality technologist role within the food, nutrition, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing sectors.
• Strong understanding of food safety and quality management systems, including HACCP, ISO, FSSC 22000, and GFSI-recognised standards.
• Knowledge of UK and EU food legislation, supplier approval processes, and quality compliance requirements.
• Analytical, detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills and experience in data analysis, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Offer

Hourly rate dependent on the level of experience.

Temporary contract with a focus on quality assurance in the retail sector.
