Job description
Purpose of Role

The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting the Quality Management Team and Production Team to ensure that the site food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to.

Key Result Areas
  • Audit processes and paperwork.
  • Monitoring that site standards are adhered to through Internal, Competency, and Traceability audits.
  • Assisting technical & production teams during external audits/vi.
  • Taking a lead role in problem solving and investigations as/when required.
  • Carry out relevant technical training.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving quality systems.
  • Be involved with Technical related projects.
  • Carrying out GMP & Glass and Hard Plastic audits.
  • Calibration of equipment.
  • Cover for Quality Controllers where required.
  • Preparing samples to be sent away for external microbiological testing.
  • Propose continuous improvement ideas to progress Technical department performance.
  • Monitoring QC activities are carried out effectively and in a timely fashion, supporting if required.
Key Performance Indicators

Successful resolution of non-conformances.

Completion of internal audits against target dates. Assist Quality Management in compiling information for weekly KPI reports.

Qualifications

Internal auditing, Intermediate Food Hygiene, and HACCP qualifications are desirable, but training will be provided.
