Job summary

TechNichols Resourcing Limited is seeking a Quality Inspector / Quality Technician in Hampshire to join the experienced Quality team. The role offers a permanent position with a salary of £32,000–£36,000 per year, plus benefits.

You will perform first-off, in-process and final inspections using precision tools, read engineering drawings, and help maintain ISO 9001 quality standards. You'll work Monday–Thursday 07:00–16:30 and Friday 07:00–12:00 in a modern manufacturing environment with

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quality Inspector/Technician or similar role.
• Experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.
• Experience using a range of inspection and measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections of manufactured components.
• Use Vernier calipers, micrometers and height gauges to measure parts.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Record and maintain accurate inspection documentation and quality records.
• Support investigations into non-conformances and root cause analysis.
• Assist with internal quality audits and continuous improvement.
• Liaise with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to maintain standards.
• Support calibration activities and ensure inspection equipment remains compliant.
• Participate in customer and supplier quality activities when required.
• Assist in maintaining ISO 9001 compliance.

• Liaise with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Support calibration activities and ensure inspection equipment remains compliant.
• Participate in customer and supplier quality-related activities when required.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience within a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician or similar Quality role.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.
• Experience using a variety of inspection and measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
