Quality & Risk Assistant Full‑Time Bristol or Bath Up to 30000

A well‑regarded legal services provider with multiple regional offices is currently recruiting for a Quality & Risk Assistant to join their Risk & Compliance function. This role is based in either the Bath or Bristol office and plays a key role in supporting risk management and regulatory compliance across the business.

The successful candidate will be part of a proactive team ensuring that processes and procedures align with regulatory standards while supporting legal teams across various office locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing client due diligence (CDD) monitoring and documentation
  • Running conflict checks and assisting in resolving any compliance gaps
  • Responding to anti‑money laundering (AML) queries and escalating where necessary
  • Supporting panel application processes, insurance renewals and CQS accreditations
  • Tracking and updating data for regulatory and reporting purposes
  • Participating in internal auditing monitoring and compliance projects
  • Helping with the data cleansing process and identifying relevant client / matter details
About You

Previous experience in a compliance or risk support role ideally within professional services

Basic knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as AML legislation, data protection laws and conduct rules

Comfortable using IT systems like Excel, Word and case management platforms

Ability to work independently and collaborate well with others

Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem‑solving

While primarily based in Bath or Bristol the role may involve supporting teams in other office locations. You’ll need to be confident working at pace, managing multiple priorities and delivering a consistently high standard of client‑focused service.
