Job summary

A leading automotive engineering company in Birmingham is seeking a Quality & Process Engineer to develop and implement business processes across Production, Quality, and Engineering. Responsibilities include maintaining management systems, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvements. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Automotive Engineering, possesses strong communication skills, and is proficient in MS Office. Qualifications

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Automotive Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Knowledge of ISO, IATF, APQP standards, and proven quality/project management techniques.
  • Audit qualification (or willingness to achieve one).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain our Quality & Environmental Management System (QEMS) and Business Management System (BMS).
  • Design and develop products, process improvements, tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Conduct supplier, product, and service audits to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, and contract documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, quality, and production capabilities.
  • Deliver training to raise quality awareness and skills across the business.
