Job description
Quality & Outcomes Framework (QOF) Admin & Patient Services Advisor

Symphony Healthcare Services are looking to appoint a permanent, full time joint Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) Administrator and Patient Services Advisor to work across both Martock Surgery and South Petherton Medical Centre in Somerset.

In this dual role, you will provide administration and reception based duties for the practices, liaise with patients, clinical staff and colleagues in an efficient, calm and polite manner, whilst also receive, assist and direct patients inaccessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional.

For the QOF Administrator tasks, you will be a methodical administrator with an eye for detail and good organisational skills.

This is a permanent, full-time post of 37.5 hours per week, to be worked Monday to Friday. Part-time or job share opportunities will be considered - please state in your application.

The rate of pay for this role is £12.65 to £12.95 per hour and starting salary will be offered based on previous experience.

Main duties of the job
  • Identify and book appointments and home visits in line with practice protocols, including cross-organisation bookings.
  • Search for, register if necessary and book onto the computer system patients as they present at the desk.
  • Deal with enquiries, signposting and requests, either face to face or over the telephone from a variety of external sources, such as patients, relatives, clinical team, hospital, pathology, and work colleagues.
  • Maintain an overview of the waiting areas, informing patients of any known delays and ensuring the area remains in a neat and tidy condition.
  • Follow up hospital appointments, test results etc. and act upon messages on the system from the medical team
  • Record visit requests and alert duty doctor according to practice policy.

QOF Administrator

  • Ensuring recalls systems are robust and up-to-date.
  • Working under direction from the Practice Manager to ensure the practices IT needs are met, developing the use of information technology to enable it to meet modernisation targets, maximise income and improve patient care
