The Nuclear Quality Officer role has been created to provide support for the Technical & Quality Governance team at LRQA reporting to the Technical & Quality Governance manager for Inspection. The role supports Technical & Quality activities on the nuclear new build projects and involves a combination of activities and training to encompass technical administrative functions, auditing project work and support for inspection activities.

The role requires attendance at LRQA's Birmingham Office with some opportunity to work from home and travel to customers and other LRQA offices.

The Nuclear Quality Officer is responsible for:
  • Support the Technical & Quality Governance team involved with Nuclear projects
  • Support Export Control Activities within LRQA
  • Contribute to the project to update the Quality Management System
  • Receive training and participate in internal and external audits
  • To pursue Continuing Professional Development and maintain a high degree of technical knowledge and awareness
  • Monitor and review health and safety performance, observe safety behaviours in the workplace, take appropriate corrective and preventive action as necessary and suggest and implement improvement activities
  • Continuously seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
