An established food manufacturer supplying high-quality products to major retailers are looking for an experienced and proactive Quality Manager to join their team and ensure their products consistently meet the highest standards of food safety and quality.

The Role

As the Quality Manager you will be responsible for leading the quality function across the site, managing a team, and ensuring compliance with all relevant food safety and retailer standards. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving their BRC‑accredited processes, supporting continuous improvement, and driving a culture of quality throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of quality members
  • Manage the site's food safety and quality systems, ensuring full compliance with BRC, HACCP, and retailer‑specific standards.
  • Oversee audits (internal and external) and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Monitor product quality and lead investigations into non‑conformances.
  • Liaise with production, technical, and supply chain teams to maintain and improve product quality.
  • Develop and deliver training to staff on quality and food safety standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
About You
  • Proven experience in a quality management role within food manufacturing, ideally with experience supplying major retailers.
  • Strong knowledge of BRC standards, HACCP, and food safety legislation.
  • Experience managing and developing a team.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
