About the Opportunity

Kingscroft have been asked to recruit for a Quality Manager by a specialist manufacturing organisation. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering and developing ISO 9001 in a production environment, skill in improving product quality, and be capable of investigating non‑conformance to generate process change that drives performance and reduces waste and low quality output.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for driving improvements in product quality and service levels to deliver excellent customer care, with regular feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Lead the introduction of best practice quality techniques at the shop‑floor level such as standard work, quality alerts and mistake‑proofing, targeting a reduction in quality defects, damages and process errors to lower the cost of poor quality.
  • Provide visible leadership in quality standards, behaviours and systems of work.
  • Responsible for effective quality policies and systems that improve performance.
  • Promote a positive quality culture with engagement, training and regular audits.
  • Lead quality management reviews and drive improved standards.
  • Responsible for measurement and testing of products for quality verification, and for adopting technology such as CMM systems to improve accuracy and repeatability.
  • Lead the introduction of best practice quality improvements using PDCA problem‑solving and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Maintain focused quality KPIs to monitor improvements, promote new ideas and continuous improvement learning.
  • Support and ensure full compliance with internal and external quality audits.
  • Ensure full compliance with quality standards, industry regulations and ISO 9001.
  • Drive improved quality CI standards with suppliers.
  • Maintain quality documentation, process capability studies, audit records and equipment calibrations.
