Quality Manager / QHSE Manager

£60K - £65K salary guide + bonus + pension + family private medical insurance + 25 days holiday and all bank holidays.

Commutable from Leicester, Derby, Nottingham.

This role is 90-95% focused on quality management, with 5-10% emphasis on health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management.

Background

• Experience as a Quality Manager, Quality, Health & Safety Manager, or QHSE Manager in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Thorough knowledge and experience of ISO9001; additional ISO14001 experience is advantageous.
• Ability to understand and align QHSE strategies with the ethos, culture, and values of a SME UK manufacturing business.
• Strong focus on building internal and external relationships (customers, suppliers, engineering, manufacturing, and supply‑chain teams) and driving quality best practice throughout the business.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership and lead on quality, health & safety, and environmental strategies, processes, policies, and procedures (ISO9001, 14001, and specific industry standards).
• 90-95% focus on quality management with emphasis on supplier, manufacturing, and customer quality.
• Lead and develop a small team (3 people – Quality Engineer and Quality Technicians).
• Develop strong working relationships with engineering, manufacturing, and supply‑chain teams to influence quality best practice across the business.
