Job summary

SYOS Aerospace UK is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to build and lead the quality function at its new UK production facility. You will establish the site QMS, align with ISO 9001, and own PFMEA, Control Plans, and NCR/CAPA processes, integrating with NZ teams.

You will recruit and develop the quality team, implement traceability, inspections, calibration, and PPAP/FAI for new parts, driving production readiness and certification toward AS9100.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production quality experience in complex assembly/manufacturing.
• Experience establishing a quality function from the ground up.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 with audit experience.
• PFMEA development, linking to Control Plans and PFMEA controls.
• Leadership across multiple production streams and teams.
• FAI, PPAP, calibration management, NCR and CAPA processes.

Responsibilities

• Review NPI handover and make production-ready quality package.
• Own open issues register through PTR and PFMEA reviews.
• Author/approve Control Plans and ensure traceability to PFMEA.
• Establish site QMS aligned with ISO 9001 and SOPs.
• Define quality team structure, recruitment, and training.
• Implement records, inspection, calibration, NCR/CAPA systems.
• Lead FAI and PPAP for new parts; support AS9100 progression.
