This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday.

Are you a seasoned Quality Manager looking for a role where your expertise will be truly valued and your impact felt across the entire business? Following recent acquisition and investment, this furniture manufacturer is embarking on an ambitious growth strategy. Working Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm, this is a chance to join a dynamic team in Haverhill, Suffolk, where your skills will be pivotal in driving quality excellence.
As the Quality Manager, you will be the cornerstone of quality assurance and control within the company supporting approx 35 staff on the factory floor. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for all customer complaints, liaising across departments to rectify issues, document processes, and ensure continual improvement.
  • Conducting DuPro inspections and checking parts and products throughout production and assembly areas.
  • Implementing corrective actions in a dynamic environment to minimise impact on production flow and customer expectations.
  • Documenting non-conformances and monitoring the solution process.
  • Leading quality assurance and control initiatives across the business.
  • Performing cyclical quality inspections of incoming goods from suppliers.
  • Collaborating with all departments to resolve quality issues with suppliers.
  • Regularly visiting key suppliers to establish and enforce quality standards.
  • Supporting the Health & Safety Manager in implementing risk assessments and health & safety controls.

We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
  • Previous experience within a Quality Managerrole or similar from a manufacturing environment
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to work independently while considering the wider business.
  • Proficiency in developing quality processes and documentation, such as SOPs.
  • Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and a confident appearance.
  • Good experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, etc.).
  • Previous experience in a shop floorworking environment.
  • A customer first approach.
  • Well-organised and comfortable working with ERP systems.
  • Previous experience in the furniture industry is advantageous.
