Salary: £45,000 - £57,000 per annum (DOE)
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7am - 4pm | Friday, 7am - 12pm
Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays

About the Role

Gap Personnel are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join a leading manufacturing company in Shrewsbury. This is a key role where you’ll oversee the company’s quality management systems (QMS), ensuring compliance with industry standards, driving continuous improvement, and leading a dedicated team. You’ll be at the heart of maintaining product quality, meeting customer expectations, and fostering a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities as a Quality Manager
  • Lead the Quality Management System (QMS): Oversee and enhance the QMS to meet IATF 16949 and other quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop the quality team, creating a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Drive Process Improvement: Use Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis to improve quality metrics and reduce waste.
  • Customer Engagement: Handle quality-related customer concerns, complaints, and maintain strong relationships.
  • Supplier Quality Assurance: Ensure suppliers meet the company’s quality standards through audits and performance monitoring.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of audits, quality activities, and regular reporting to senior management.
What We’re Looking For in a Quality Manager
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Quality Manager in a manufacturing environment, ideally automotive.
