Quality Manager – Telford – Permanent – Monday to Friday (40 hours) – Package: up to £57,000 per annum – 25 days annual leave + stats – + other perks

Role Summary

The Quality Manager will lead the strategic and day-to-day activities of the Quality division, championing a quality-first mindset across the organisation. The role will focus on maintaining compliance with quaity standards, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the company's Quality Management System, ensuring it aligns with IATF 16949 and meets all regulatory and customer expectations.
• Lead internal audits and quality reviews to assess system effectiveness and drive compliance.
• Manage and develop a team of quality professionals, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to support team growth and performance.
• Analyse operational processes to identify areas for improvement, applying methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
• Track and report on quality metrics, implementing corrective actions to address any issues.
• Act as the main liaison for customer quality concerns, resolving issues promptly and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Work closely with suppliers to uphold quality standards, conducting audits and managing onboarding of new vendors and materials.
• Maintain accurate records of all quality activities and present findings to senior leadership.
• Monitor changes in industry regulations and ensure the business remains compliant, including communication with relevant authorities when required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading and managing a Quality function at a managerial and departmental level, including managing a team.
• Ideally possess experience in and knowledge of the requirements and expectations of supplying into the automotive sector with a strong knowledge of IATF 16949 as well as strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and systems.
• IATF Lead Auditor.
• Strong knowledge of quality management tools and methodologies.
• Previous experience within a Quality Manager / Quality Supervisor / Head of Quality role within a busy manufacturing environment.
