Job description

Quality Manager

Main Responsibilities
  • Leading site compliance to relevant standards (BRC Packaging, ISO14001), regulations and legislation.
  • Managing site environment monitoring program.
  • Ensuring that the IMS (Integrated management system) is established, implemented, maintained and updated.
  • Reporting on the effectiveness and suitability of the IMS and input into training requirements in relation to the IMS.
  • Ensuring the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation.
  • Establishing procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
  • Communicating externally and internally any information concerning food/product safety.
  • Leading on site HARA team.
  • Planning and managing all internal, external, customer and vendor audits including BRC, SEDEX.
  • Internal validation, testing and approval of new and modified products.
  • Monitoring and measuring key indicators and reporting trends.
  • Investigating RCA, implementing CA/PA and reporting to the customer (including customer visits).
  • Reporting packaging statistics to government agencies.
  • Liaising with Group Expert Team QA on Policy’s and new/improved systems and participate in Expert team meetings
  • Ensuring compliance with national, international regulations and legislation and controlling DoCs as required for the customer.
  • Implementing ongoing improvement with the various departments and at group level.
  • Changing management control for IMS system.
  • Managing change/sample requests projects.
  • Compiling annual management review documents.
  • Managing site environmental monitoring program.
  • Managing quality incidents, non-conformance and customer complaints.
  • Leading site FAT/SAT product approval in conjunction with R&D and Technical Quality Teams.
  • Managing & coach quality team.
  • Monthly reporting and monitoring of quality KPIs
  • Management of risk (product).
  • Responsibility for first off approval.
Expert Function
  • Defining quality means for new products & implement them.
  • Advising project managers on solutions/options (conception, historic of other similar products, raw materials, standards).
  • Evaluating the statistical process control.
  • Validating quality criteria’s & customer specifications (dimensions, tolerances min/ max , functionalities).
  • Implementing and continually improve production control standards (testing criteria, specifications, inspection SOPs).
  • Organising Training for line operators, technicians to Quality for new products.
  • Setting control plans and monitor the results.
