We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead and develop our QA team, ensuring the implementation and management of quality improvement plans to achieve quality objectives. This role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing our site quality management systems, fostering a strong Food Safety and Quality Culture, and spearheading site quality projects. This position is predominantly shop-floor-based, requiring a hands-on approach.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily activities of the QA team, including shift coverage and recruitment.
- Implement QA shift patterns and structure the team effectively to meet business needs.
- Oversee training and development, ensuring timely completion of performance appraisals.
- Support updates and improvements to QA processes and related procedures.
- Lead the implementation of quality training matrices for site personnel.
- Ensure site risk assessments are completed and corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain sampling plans and ensure compliance with customer and site requirements.
- Lead root cause investigations, trend analysis, and corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Promote a food safety and quality culture across all departments.
- Represent the business in customer and retailer meetings as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in FMCG manufacturing, preferably in food production.
- Proven experience managing large teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement tools and quality systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage and deliver under pressure while maintaining high standards.
