Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Quality Manager or senior quality leadership role within food manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Strong understanding of QMS, HACCP, BRC, and UK food legislation.
  • A collaborative leader who can motivate teams and influence cross-functional departments.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with a hands-on, solution-focused mindset.
  • Relevant qualifications in Food Science, Quality Management, or Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams.
  • Maintain and improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS) in line with food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and investigations, driving corrective and preventive actions.
  • Partner closely with Production and Technical teams to ensure quality standards are achieved.
  • Report and analyse key quality metrics (KPIs) to support data-driven decision making.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and external auditors on quality and compliance matters.
  • Promote a site-wide culture of accountability, training, and continuous improvement in food safety and product integrity.

We're delighted to be partnering with a long-established FMCG business, recognised as a market leader within its sector and trusted by major retailers across the UK. The company is known for its strong family values, commitment to innovation and focus on quality, sustainability and continuous improvement.

As part of ongoing growth, our client is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to take a lead role in maintaining and enhancing quality and food safety standards across a busy production site in Central Scotland.

The Role

This is a key position within the site management team. The successful candidate will ensure that products consistently meet customer expectations while complying with all relevant legislation and certifications. You\'ll lead and develop the quality function, manage the Quality Management System, and champion a proactive culture of continuous improvement across all departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams.
  • Maintain and improve the site\'s Quality Management System (QMS) in line with food safety and regulatory requirements (HACCP, BRC, retailer codes of practice, etc.).
  • Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and investigations, driving corrective and preventive actions.

  • Report and analyse key quality metrics (KPIs) to support data-driven decision making.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and external auditors on all quality and compliance matters.
