Salary: circa £60,000

An opportunity to join a European tier 1 automotive supplier in a new role as they establish their UK operation, to take responsibility for plant Quality Management operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and maintain the plant Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, customer, legal, and internal requirements
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute internal and external quality audits, acting as local owner of quality processes
  • Manage customer quality relationships, drive customer satisfaction, and handle complaints using structured problem‑solving methods (8D, 5 Why)
  • Oversee supplier quality performance, support continuous improvement, and manage chargebacks when applicable
  • Drive quality performance through inspections, analysis, corrective actions, and management of core quality tools (PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, PPAP)
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Quality Management, ideally within the automotive industry
  • Certified internal auditor for IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3
  • Strong expertise in automotive quality tools and methodologies (PPAP, PSW, PFMEA, problem-solving)
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and develop teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong MS Office proficiency
