Job summary

Collide Technical in Bournemouth is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to own the quality function in a high-spec aerospace environment. You will manage and develop the QMS, ensuring compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001, and lead all quality activities across manufacturing.

You will drive continuous improvement, conduct audits, manage non-conformances, mentor the quality team, and be the main point of contact for customer quality issues, reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quality Manager within aerospace or precision engineering.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Experience leading audits and dealing with customers and regulatory bodies.
• Strong background in continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence and drive quality culture across the business.

Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining the QMS in line with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.
• Leading internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and quality processes.
• Managing non-conformance, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective actions (CAPA).
• Overseeing inspection and quality assurance activities.
• Working closely with production, engineering, and senior management teams.

Collide Technical is working with a well-established and growing precision engineering company in Bournemouth, seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead its quality function within a high-spec aerospace manufacturing environment.

This is a key leadership role offering full ownership of the quality system, the opportunity to drive continuous improvement, and influence business-wide standards in a technically advanced setting.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing and developing the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with aerospace standards, and leading all quality-related activities across the business.
