Job summary

Staff Power Group is seeking a QMS & Compliance Manager to maintain and improve the Quality Management System across our manufacturing operations. You will ensure quality manuals, procedures, forms and records are accurate, controlled and practical for use.

You will coordinate audits, track certification and customer requirements, and work with directors and managers to close gaps and prevent issues from recurring.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining or improving a QMS in a manufacturing or engineering setting.
• Strong knowledge of document control, internal auditing and corrective actions.
• Ability to write clear procedures and translate requirements into practical processes.
• Confident working with operational teams, senior management and external auditors.
• Strong organisation skills and persistence to see actions through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the QMS, including manuals, policies, procedures, forms and records.
• Review the QMS regularly.
• Write and update SOPs and work instructions with the people who carry out the work.
• Track certification scope, surveillance visits, renewal dates and evidence, escalate risks.
• Coordinate preparation for external audits and act as principal contact for assessors.
• Record audit findings, agree actions with responsible managers and ensure completion.
• Lead investigations into non-conformances and recurring quality issues.
• Work closely with Directors and Production/Coating Managers.
• Coordinate QMS inputs to management reviews and record decisions/actions.

Job description

Role Purpose:

The QMS & Compliance Manager is responsible for maintaining and improving their Quality Management System. The role ensures that quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, and records are accurate, controlled, practical to use and followed across the business.

The postholder will coordinate audits, maintain a clear view of applicable certification and customer requirements, and work with operational managers to close gaps and prevent issues from recurring.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the QMS, including the quality manual, policies, procedures, forms, registers, and supporting records.
• Review the QMS regularly
• Write and update standard operating procedures and work instructions with the people who carry out the work
• Track certification scope, surveillance visits, renewal dates and required evidence, escalating risks well before deadlines
• Coordinate preparation for external audits and act as a principal contact for certification and customer quality assessors
• Record audit findings clearly, agree actions with responsible managers and follow them through to verified completion
• Lead or support investigations into non-confirmances, customer complaints and recurring quality issues
• Work closely with the Directors, Factory Manager, Production Manager, and Coating Manager
• Coordinagte QMS inputs to management reviews and maintain a record of decisions and actions.
