Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd in Port Talbot is seeking a Shift Quality Inspector for a permanent role on a 12-hour continental shift pattern (days and nights).

You will inspect products on the production floor using verniers, micrometers and camera vision systems, record results, and support corrective actions to meet specifications. This busy manufacturing environment values attention to detail and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Quality Inspection within manufacturing.
• Strong technical ability with measurement and inspection equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear communication with production teams to raise quality concerns.
• Logical approach to investigating problems and implementing corrections.

Responsibilities

• Carry out dimensional and visual inspections on the production line.
• Use measurement tools such as verniers, micrometers and DTI gauges.
• Check products against customer drawings and internal standards.
• Identify defects with camera vision inspection systems and adjust parameters as needed.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Assist with introducing new products and reducing waste.
