Job Title: Quality Inspector

Location: West Sussex

Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum

Role Purpose

The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing inspection activities on incoming, in-process, and outgoing products, ensuring compliance with defined specifications and standards. The role also supports the Quality team with documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements to maintain high product quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspection & Verification: Carry out dimensional, visual, and compliance checks on goods-in, first-off, in-process, and final products. Verify products against inspection instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications. Accurately record inspection results and generate reports, including ISIRs, CMM data, Keyence results, and other quality documentation. Conduct random end-of-line checks on product, packaging, labelling, and quantity. Identify, label, and record non-conforming parts, maintaining the quarantine register and supporting resolution of issues. Manage calibration of measurement tools and update the gauge register. Support the completion and updating of inspection reports and quality alerts. Assist production and assembly lines with inspection and documentation requirements.
  • Quality Systems & Compliance: Maintain quality systems across the factory, ensuring adherence to standards and procedures. Carry out routine compliance patrols in production areas to confirm correct processes and documentation are in use. Support audits and customer quality requirements through accurate reporting and records. Promote and uphold 6S and housekeeping standards within work areas.
  • Collaboration & Improvement: Liaise with production teams to resolve quality concerns and agree corrective actions. Provide timely feedback on inspection outcomes to support continuous improvement. Participate in quality-related projects and other reasonable tasks as required.
