Job description

Job Title – Quality Inspector

PERMANENT POSITION

Salary package – £35-40K DOE including shift allowance

Location – Devizes, Wiltshire

Hours – 39 hours a week

Shifts – rotating double day shift pattern (see below)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join the inspection team at our client. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products meet all customer and company quality requirements throughout every stage of manufacture – from goods receipt to final release.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out product verification, inspection, and testing at various stages of manufacture (receipt, in-process, and final).
  • Verify tooling, fixtures, and supporting documentation.
  • Perform final release inspections with the appropriate authorisation.
  • Program and operate CMMs and CNC part marking machines (training provided if required).
  • Participate in corrective action and continuous improvement activities.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Maintain relevant approvals and qualifications through ongoing training.
  • Support internal process audits with production teams.
About You

You'll have a strong understanding of quality systems and inspection methods, with a practical approach to ensuring compliance and accuracy in a manufacturing environment.

  • Familiar with (or willing to learn) a variety of inspection and test equipment.
  • Must meet the required vision standards for inspection duties.

This position will be working initially a day shift pattern Monday to Friday during training, and then a rotating double day shift pattern as below:

Earlies: 6.00am to 2.30pm Monday to Thursday and 6.00am to 11.00am on Friday
Lates: 2.30pm to 11.00pm Monday to Thursday and 11.00am to 4.00pm on Friday
