Job summary

A leading energy job board in the UK is seeking a Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer for a permanent position based in Brownhills. The ideal candidate will have experience in writing CMM programs and a solid understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T. This role offers a salary of £35k to £40k per annum and requires a commitment to working Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm and Friday 7am to 1pm.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer.
• Able to program CMMs to CAD models.
• Familiarity with ITAF standard is advantageous.

Position

Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer – Permanent position. Salary £35k to £40k per annum. Hours: 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7am to 1pm Friday (40 hours per week). Based in Brownhills.

Responsibilities

• Write new CMM programs using PC-DMIS and perform inspections and measurements using a CMM machine.
• Check and pass off initial sample parts using approved CMM programs.
• Support the business NPI and PPAP requirements.
• Maintain a good knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Utilise Hexagon CMMs for measurements and programming.
• Analyse data and generate reports on component quality.
• Control the calibration of measuring equipment.
• Monitor, investigate, and support the resolution of customer, supplier, and internal non-conformities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience as a Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer.
• Experience using Hexagon CMMs and PC-DMIS; able to program to CAD models.
• Good knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Practical experience of calibration and familiarity with the ITAF standard is advantageous.
