Quality Inspector – CMM

Hemel Hempstead • £37,000 + Overtime 1.5×

Do you want to be a crucial part of the inspection department and be working on the latest software and CMM machines? Look no further. This position will be very hands on, helping to inspect mechanical parts accurately and quickly. It is a fast moving, busy sub con with a great variety of parts coming out of the machine shop into the inspection department.

The Job

As a CMM Inspector, you will be tasked with clearing the inspection shelf quickly and accurately, inspecting to the tightest of tolerances. The business have recently won a number of projects so you will be kept busy! The role will be quality checking a variety of metallic parts, this will include first off inspection and final inspection before sending out to various customers. The work can be varied as they are a sub-contractor, so can be anything from 1 off's to small batch runs.

You will be an experienced inspector who can operate CMM's and other inspection equipment such as the usual manual inspection tools.

What we need from you
  • CMM operating experience is a must, programming would be advantageous
  • Any CMM software is considered but must have a willingness to learn a new one!
  • Experience inspecting machined components
