Job summary

A leading UK manufacturer within the automotive sector is seeking a Quality Inspector to support the QA/QC team with day-to-day site assurance activities. The role focuses on ensuring quality, safety, and compliance of specialist vehicles, with testing and inspection carried out on vehicles and documented outcomes.

The successful candidate will interpret engineering drawings, deliver corrective actions, and support vehicle release after inspection.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with QMS is desirable.
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving using data-driven approaches.
• Good computer literacy (MS Word/Excel).
• Quality inspector / QA experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing and inspection of semi-finished and finished vehicles, ensuring issues are identified and recorded.
• Ensure products, services, and processes comply with required standards and specifications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement.
• Interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications to verify product compliance.
• Support the delivery and release of completed vehicles following inspection and testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of inspection results.

Circa £30k – £35k DOE, Permanent Role, Standard Hours, Early Finish Friday, OT Paid at 150%, Training and Development Supported By Management

A leading UK manufacturer within the automotive sector is seeking a Quality Inspector to support the Manager and wider QA/QC team with the day-to-day management of site assurance activities.

The Quality Inspector role focuses on ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of specialist vehicles (automotive background not essential for this role). The successful candidate will test and inspect vehicles, report and record any problems with the finish product, and implement the corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector

• Conduct thorough testing and inspection of semi-finished and finished vehicles, ensuring any issues are identified and recorded
• Ensure products, services, and processes comply with required standards and specifications
• Contribute to continuous improvement
• Interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications to verify product compliance.
• Support the delivery and release of completed vehicles following inspection and testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of inspection results.
