Overview

Quality Inspector required.

If you have previous experience visually and dimensionally checking machined or fabricated components with hand held measuring tools such as verniers, micrometres, bore micrometers, height gauges, etc., please read on.

The Basics

• Role: Quality Inspector
• Location: Basildon
• Position: Permanent
• Basic salary: £23.71 per hour / £48,083 per annum + overtime = earnings of £53,000 and upwards achievable
• Hours: Monday to Thursday 19:00 to 04:00am and Friday 14:30 to 19:30
• Holidays and Benefits: 25 days + 8 bank holidays. Employee Contribution - 5%, Annual pay rise negotiated each year

We now require a Quality Inspector to join the inspection department. You will be tasked to inspect fabricated and machined components with hand held measuring tools associated with a precision engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fabricated and machined components using hand held measuring tools (e.g., verniers, micrometres, bore micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
• Ensure dimensional conformity with engineering drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Competent at reading engineering drawings.
• Competent in dimensionally checking precision engineered parts against a drawing using handheld measuring tools such as verniers, micrometres, bore micrometres, height gauges, DTI (Digital Test Indicators), etc. (Desirable but not essential; all applications will be considered).
