Role

Quality Inspector - Permanent - Days, Monday to Friday (38-hour week)

Segensworth / Fareham - Up to £33,000 plus overtime (typically 8 to 16 additional hours per month at 1.5x hourly rate, although not always guaranteed)

About the Role

Do you have at least 2 years' experience using handheld inspection tools such as verniers, callipers, and micrometres? Are you excited by the opportunity to work alongside a team of five skilled aerospace inspectors?

Overview

We're recruiting a Quality Inspector to join a company that manufactures precision‑machined components, assembled into complex mechanical products for the aerospace sector. Responsibilities
  • Work closely with experienced quality professionals, ensuring high standards are met throughout the build process and during final inspections.
  • Using engineering drawings, perform checks with a variety of handheld inspection tools, conduct visual inspections (including microscope use), and contribute to checks using some automated inspection equipment.
  • Ensure everything is properly documented and kept up to date from an online clerical perspective.
  • Use of a CMM is also involved – training and support will be provided if needed.
Qualifications
  • At least two years' experience in a similar inspection role using handheld tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong communication skills, problem‑solving mindset, and a genuine team player who takes pride in their work.
