A well-established precision engineering company is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join its quality team. This is a key role ensuring that high-spec components meet strict customer and industry standards, with a focus on both manual and CMM inspection techniques.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for inspecting components using both manual tools and coordinate measuring machines (CMM), ensuring compliance with customer drawings and specifications. The role also involves supporting calibration activities, documenting inspection results, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform manual and CMM inspection of components to customer specifications.
  • Conduct goods-inward inspections and first-off checks.
  • Support calibration of measuring equipment.
  • Document inspection results for FAIR and PPAP submissions.
  • Generate quality control notifications for non-conforming products.
  • Participate in 8D problem-solving and improvement activities.
  • Assist with day-to-day quality tasks under the guidance of the Quality Manager.
  • Ensure all work aligns with the company’s drive for zero defects and continuous improvement.
