Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting inspections, analysing quality data, and working closely with various departments to uphold and maintain the integrity of our work and deliverables. Your primary focus will be on preventing non-conformances and ensuring that all work meets the required standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and embed a quality-first culture by proactively coaching and supporting teams to prevent substandard work.
Act as an impartial authority on quality-related matters, aiming to resolve issues at the project level before escalation.
Ensure that quality management is prioritised throughout the delivery of all works, supporting a "right first time" approach.
Liaise with the delivery team and subcontractors to ensure full understanding of quality assurance processes and expectations.
Inspect works during progress and upon completion to confirm they meet the project’s Work Information and specifications.
Identify and report non-conformances to Quality Managers and Quality Engineers promptly.
Ensure inspections and testing are completed in accordance with inspection and test plans (ITPs) and Safe Systems of Work.
Ensure all quality-related documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner.
Assist Quality Engineers in conducting site surveillance activities.
Perform all duties in alignment with the organisation’s and project’s core values.
Requirements
Experience within the nuclear industry is preferred.
Proven background in a quality assurance role, ideally within a manufacturing or food production environment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with inspection and test plans, non-conformance management, and safe systems of work.
Desirable Qualifications
Relevant technical or engineering qualifications.
Quality management or auditing certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, IRCA, etc.).
