Overview

Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (06:30–16:00)


Are you experienced in inspecting CNC machined parts, or are you an existing Inspector looking for a new challenge? As specialist manufacturing organisation are looking for a Quality Control Technician to join a precision engineering company renowned for producing high-quality, world-class products.


In this role, you'll carry out dimensional inspections of both sub-contracted and in-house manufactured components, working directly from engineering drawings. You'll use a range of hand measurement tools, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play an active part in maintaining exceptional quality standards.



Responsibilities


  • Inspect components, ideally CNC machined parts, to ensure they meet engineering specifications

  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings

  • Use measurement equipment to verify part accuracy

  • Support problem-solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Maintain clear communication with the wider team to resolve issues efficiently

  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to address quality concerns

  • Participate in corrective actions and improvement processes

  • Assist in maintaining quality databases and reviewing non-conformance data



Skills and Experience


  • Proven experience inspecting precision components

  • Good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

  • CMM experience (MITUTOYO mcosmos basic programming) is an advantage

  • Knowledge of quality standards, Six Sigma, or SPC desirable
