A recruitment agency is seeking a Quality Inspector for an engineering company in Narborough. You will be responsible for inspecting metal components using precision tools, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, and maintaining inspection records. The ideal candidate has proven experience in the metal products sector and is skilled in using CMM machines and hand measurement tools. This temporary-to-permanent position offers a competitive hourly rate of £13 - £15.

Quality Inspector Required!

BE Recruitment are currently working with an engineering company in Narborough (LE19), who are looking for a quality inspector.

Temporary - Permanent position.

Working shifts and pay:
  • Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
  • Friday: 08:00 - 13:00
  • £13 - £15 P/H
  • Holidays accrued @ 12.07%
Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out detailed inspections of metal components using CMM machines, handheld gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD data, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Record, analyse, and report inspection results, highlighting non‑conformances and liaising with production to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inspection records in line with ISO and company standards.
  • Conduct first‑off, in‑process, and final inspections on machined and fabricated metal products.
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within the metal products or precision engineering sector.
  • Experience in using CMM machines.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Skilled in the use of hand measurement tools (micrometers, verniers, height gauges, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 or similar quality management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office and quality reporting software.
