Job description
Overview

Quality Inspector — Permanent day shift with 12 hour shifts, totaling 12 days every 4 weeks. A large amount of spare time is available on this schedule, with only 1 weekend worked during this period. You will join a modern business that has invested heavily in new machinery and is growing rapidly.

Salary: £28,652 - £33,276 depending on experience. 25 days holiday + banks. We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join an expanding, established manufacturer that makes special purpose components used within the aerospace sector. Training can be provided in areas for the right person; a good attitude is valued within the culture of this business. An excellent opportunity to train and learn new skills.

Responsibilities
  • Using calibration equipment (such as verniers, micrometres, etc.) to inspect precision machined components.
  • Learning and operating how to use a CMM; training can be provided for those seeking to develop more CMM experience.
  • Carrying out other associated quality inspection duties, such as compiling FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports).
  • Collaborating with the wider quality and production teams to ensure deadlines are met to required standards.
Skills & Experience
  • Ideally a proven Quality Inspector from an engineering background. Aerospace / precision engineering experience is advantageous due to tight tolerances.
  • Ability to use measuring tools and openness to learn wider equipment, such as CMM.
  • A formal engineering qualification is advantageous but not essential.
  • Enthusiastic and team-driven character.
