Job description

Following the award of new long‑term programmes and continued business expansion, a leading manufacturer of precision components serving the aerospace, defence, and energy sectors is seeking to appoint a Quality Inspector to join their team.

The Role
  • Inspect high precision components in line with specification.
  • Interpret engineering drawings to ensure components meet the highest quality standards.
  • Supporting other manufacturing areas when required.
  • Maintaining high levels of attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Sign off batch cards detailing components are in line with specification and meet customer requirements.
  • Raise any conformance issues and any relevant paperwork in line with Company procedure.
  • Complete conventional and CMM inspection work as an independent over check for
The Person
  • Proven NDT experience.
  • A good understanding of engineering drawings and method specifications.
  • Ability to use conventional inspection equipment.
  • A sound understanding of inspection techniques (on a variety of products) and proven engineering experience.
  • Experience of inspecting to tight tolerances in a precision engineering environment.
  • Willing to work on a three-shift pattern.
  • Ability to produce quality work whilst working under pressure.
