Quality Inspector - DH44968

Position: Quality Inspector

Location: Coventry

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (DOE)

Quality Inspector required to join a growing engineering team based in Coventry. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the highest quality standards across their products and processes, ensuring all parts and components meet customer specifications and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections on components using both manual and automated measuring equipment.
• Operate and program Aberlink Axiom CMM (programmable) and use QCT CMM (manual) systems for precision measurement.
• Use the Aberlink Vision Machine for non-contact measurement and inspection tasks.
• Interpret and work from detailed engineering and final drawings, ensuring all measurements comply with specified tolerances.
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in measurement and inspection activities.
• Accurately record, report, and maintain inspection data and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and quality process development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with GD&T.
• Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Proficient in using manual measurement tools such as micrometers, verniers, height gauges, and comparators.
• Experience with QCT CMM (manual) and Aberlink Axiom CMM (programmable).
• Knowledge or experience of the Aberlink Vision Machine would be an advantage.

Salary & Benefits

• Permanent position
• Salary - £30,000 - £40,000 (DOE)
• Monday to Friday - 7am to 4pm (Thursday finish at 12pm) 39 hour week
