A leading manufacturing company in Brownhills is seeking a Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer for a permanent position. The role involves writing CMM programs, performing inspections, and ensuring component quality. Candidates must have CMM experience, particularly with PC-DMIS and Hexagon CMMs. This role offers a salary between £35k and £40k per annum, alongside a structured working schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have CMM experience with the ability to write new CMM programs.
• Experience in PC-DMIS programming, ideally programming to CAD models.
• Practical experience of calibration and the ITAF standard would be an advantage.

Overview

Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer — Permanent position

Salary: £35k to £40k per annum

Hours: 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday; 7am to 1pm Friday (40 hours per week)

Location: Brownhills

Responsibilities

• Writing CMM programs using PC-DMIS
• Perform inspections and measurements using a CMM machine
• Analyzing data and generating reports on component quality
• Control the calibration of measuring equipment
• Monitoring, investigating and supporting the resolution of customer supplier and internal non-conformances
• Support the business NPI and PPAP requirements
• Check and pass off initial sample parts using approved CMM programs

Qualifications

• Must have CMM experience with the ability to write new CMM programs
• Experience with Hexagon CMMs
• Experience in PC-DMIS programming, ideally programming to CAD models
• Good knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T
• Practical experience of calibration and the ITAF standard would be an advantage
