Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Brownhills is looking for a Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer to join their team. The role involves programming CMM machines using PC-DMIS, performing inspections, and analyzing data to ensure component quality. Candidates should have experience with CMM programming, a solid understanding of engineering drawings, and ideally a background in manufacturing or production. Competitive salary of £35k to £40k per annum, working hours 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7am to 1pm Friday.

Qualifications

  • Must have CMM experience and ability to write new CMM programs.
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Experience in PC-DMIS programming, ideally to CAD models.

Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer

Permanent position

£35k to £40k per annum

7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday 7am to 1pm Friday (40 hours per week)

Must have CMM Experience with the ability to write new CMM programs

Based in Brownhills

Experience required for a Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer
  • Using Hexagon CMM's
  • Check and pass off initial sample parts using approved CMM programs
  • Support the business NPI and PPAP requirements
  • Must have a good knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Experience in PC-DMIS programming, ideally programming to CAD models
  • Practical experience of calibration and the ITAF standard would be an advantage
Duties required for a Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer
  • Writing CMM Programs using PC-DMIS
  • Perform inspections and measurements using a CMM machine
  • Analysing Data and generating reports on component quality
  • Control the calibration of measuring equipmentMonitoring, investigating and supporting the resolution of customer supplier and internal non compliance's
