As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Aerospace Quality Inspector to join our team.

The Quality Inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of our aerospace components and systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections, verifications, and tests on aerospace parts, assemblies, and materials, adhering to industry standards and company guidelines. As part of our quality control team, the Quality Inspector will collaborate with other engineers and technicians to uphold the highest standards of precision engineering and contribute to the success of our projects.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of aerospace components, sub‑assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and relevant standards.
  • Perform precision measurements using micrometres, callipers, gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other advanced metrology equipment.
  • Identify and document any deviations, defects, or non‑conformances, and work closely with the engineering team to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
  • Participate in the review and validation of engineering documentation, including drawings, technical specifications, and quality control procedures.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to monitor processes, identify potential quality issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and related documentation, ensuring proper traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, and incorporate this knowledge into inspection procedures and quality control processes.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior inspectors and production personnel to enhance overall quality awareness and adherence to established standards.
  • Support the root cause analysis and investigation of any product‑related issues, offering technical insights to drive effective problem‑solving.
  • Actively participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems and customer requirements.
Requirements
  • 5 years’ UK experience in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience and certifications may be considered.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector, preferably within the aerospace or precision engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong knowledge of inspection techniques, measurement equipment, CMM programming and metrology processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with quality management system (ISO 9001 etc.) and aerospace industry standards (AS9100).
  • Proactive and results‑driven mindset, with a commitment to delivering high‑quality work on schedule.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
