Job summary

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Deputy Practice Development Midwife to support education and development of staff within the maternity service. You will lead multi-disciplinary training, contribute to governance and audit, and help ensure MIS reporting requirements are met.

The post may be combined with a clinical Band 6 role; please indicate extra hours you'd be interested in in your application. A patient-centred, evidence-based approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience and strong interest in education within the clinical environment.
• Involvement in development and delivery of multi-disciplinary training programmes.
• Ability to assist in MIS reporting and governance within maternity services.

Responsibilities

• Support the education and development of staff within the clinical area.
• Maintain accurate training records and produce relevant reports on training activity and evaluation.
• Facilitate multi-disciplinary training such as PROMPT and Mandatory Maternity Training.
• Contribute to clinical audit and governance activities and review relevant evidence.
