Job summary

The Best Connection are currently recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing company based in Birmingham for a Quality Improvement Inspector / Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional looking to develop their career within a busy manufacturing environment.

Take ownership of quality and process controls, drive QA improvements, and work with suppliers on inspection and validation of parts.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a quality, inspection, process engineering or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of quality control and manufacturing processes.
Good understanding of continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles.
Experience with 5S, quality KPIs and process controls.
The ability to work confidently in a hands-on, shop-floor manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of quality and process controls within the manufacturing environment.
Manage supplier quality defect rejection reporting, non-conformances and data collection.
Work with suppliers on the inspection and validation of parts.
Identify and deliver quality improvement projects to improve operational performance.
Collect and monitor quality data to support improvement activities and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System.
Drive a structured QCD KPI programme.
Carry out product audits and provide technical customer service support.
Champion Lean Manufacturing and 5S throughout the business.
