Job description
Position Overview

You will provide a high level administrative function to the Mortuary and Quality management team at Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Services (CWPS), covering three mortuary sites: University Hospital Coventry NHS Trust, Rugby St Cross, and South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the administrative and clerical service for the Mortuary, including line‑management responsibility for the Mortuary Admin Specialist.
  • Administer Q‑Pulse and Datix systems, oversee the Mortuary email inbox, and coordinate communication with Funeral Directors, Coroners, the Police, and other external parties.
  • Assist in organising and training staff and external staff such as Porters.
  • Oversee the audit schedule, ensuring its completion, and collate and organise documentation related to incidents, tracking follow‑up actions and chasing their completion with action owners.
  • Work closely with the Mortuary Manager, Cellular Pathology Quality Section Manager, and the Mortuary team, under the direction of the Senior Pathology management team.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards including UKAS, HTA, and HSE, and manage sensitive and confidential communication with service users, families, and third parties.
